In Persona vertelt een naamloos personage een eindeloze reeks anekdotes tegen een personage dat zwijgt. Het zwijgende personage lijkt een vreemde macht over haar te hebben, maar zijn zwijgen is ook een uitnodiging om te blijven spreken. De zwijger vermenigvuldigt zich tot een groep zwijgers, de spreker blijft spreken.
